nekkidkid, speaking in generalities, weekday mornings are a lot less less crowded. forget going on the weekends if you want to have a mellow time. Always check the weather forecast before you go. Wednesdays high in the Bowen Ranch area is predicted to be 62-64, the low in the lower 40s. Obviously it will be cold in the morning when you hike down, but I regularly free hike down when its in the 40s. I just keep moving and I don't worry about George Costanza shrinkage
