Into Thin Air was an interesting read. Apparently Mt Everest due to all the climbing aids left behind over the decades is relatively easy to climb. Aside from the high cost of a permit, I can see this being especially true given that Sherpas carry all of your load, including oxygen bottles. Easy to climb unless the weather turns against you, then you are dead, literally.
