Please note the important message below from an email conversation with the local rangers. It's up to all of us to proactively notify the authorities as stated below in certain circumstances and continue cleanup efforts. This is in some ways more effective as they can and will show up unannounced if there are issues down there preventing others from enjoying the area and/or keeping it clean. You can contact any of the offices.

Subject: Re: Question re: Brad Burns retirement

First off, thank you so much for your help over the years. Without people like yourself, even someone as diligent as Brad wouldn't have been successful in dealing with things. Our efforts to backfill behind Brad are moving forward, but where we once had 2 Law Enforcement Officers for the Lake Arrowhead area, we will only have one over the next few years. With this reduction in staffing, and other budget cuts and reductions, our ability to patrol areas like Deep Creek is lower than it's ever been. Please continue to help us look after the area, remove trash if you see it, and advise others of the rules in a respectful and safe manner. If you observe threatening or extremely dangerous behavior or conditions, our dispatch center is the best contact I can give you. They will direct any available resources to assist if they can. Thanks again for your message, your concern, and your help.
