Mojave,
I have no medical advice because I have not been sick since I was 8. I have 3 sons and they are the same way.
However, Once while at Gold Strike hot springs near Vegas I met @ 15 persons who worked at Le' Reve. It could be a good conversation starter to see if she has been there. You may want to take her on that hike to learn about that amazing canyon and her. This forum is too small to list all of the great things I have witnessed there.
To learn more you could read some of my old post from the soakersforum. The web address is : http://www.soakersforum.com/3/ You may need to look back a few years.
Gold Strike is in a slot canyon near the Colorado River and Hoover Dam. While hiking in I came across these circus looking people passing musical instruments down the trail. I joined the assembly line to help. When we got to the springs they filled the air with their music while clowns did the juggling and balloon tricks. It was a day I will never forget. These guys were so smart they even brought some very good wine. The slot canyon is great for musical acoustics. Oh, if I could just carry a video camera every where and share.
Gold Strike canyon is every bit as nice as D.C.H.S. But, in different ways and for different reasons. I think your GPS should will get you to the Hoover Dam and the Gold Strike canyon. Which has @ 12 hot spring pools in a 2 1/2 mile hike to the river. Where there is the sauna cave to find and explore.
Glad to help and good luck with that ;~)
