Re: Aubriana HS local.

I am so sad to hear this. I met Aubriana on my last visit to the springs, a while ago now. I obviously don't know her as well as many of you do. But she was someone who struck me as extremely beautiful and lovely, with her dog, and her music, and her openness to all and her evident joy. It radiated from her upon my first encounter with her. I mentioned her briefly in my last trip report on the board, on Wizard's post about "a good man from Minnesota" - she was the "woman from lake arrowhead area" I spoke of in my posting. At one point that day, a whole group of us gathered around Aubriana in the shade of a tree on the beach. She was being so fun and funny. I was about to hike out after 2 days at the springs - I had camped at Bowen but came down to the springs each day. I had a blow-up raft with a tiny hole in it I tried to gift to her. But it didn't pass her muster; she saw it was a cheapo raft right away. I admitted sheepishly I was trying to get out of hiking it up out of the canyon as trash. She of course offered to take it and hike it out as trash for me. Of course I said no, and trashed the raft and hiked it out. But she was obviously wonderful, even upon just meeting her. I am so sad.
