I think Steve could base his entire performance on Billy Idol and nobody would be able to tell the difference :-) My ex-wife was an event planner and they performed at some of the events. Two degrees of separation? Small world.

Janis Joplin. Died years before I was born, much like the others at that time due to drug overdoses. I wish I was born earlier sometimes and had the opportunity to be a teenager in the 70s. Seemed like a great time to be a part of ... and the freedoms ... we used to have.

I need to get back to preparing my presentation, it's 4 pm where I am already. One last item. I was surprised to learn some newer locals in the high desert were not aware of this hole in the wall and I think it's because it's next to a truck stop. I prefer to dine at mom and pop shops over the chain restaurants and make a habit of stopping by this place whenever near Hesperia, partly to listen to stories from truckers. I don't think they redecorated much since 1961, but great place for traditional American ...
