Cute. My friend was showing me a video of his daughter during a swimming lesson. When she least expected it, the instructors threw the kid into the middle of a pool and let her fend for herself and try to swim back to the edge. The idea is to train kids to rescue themselves if they ever fall into a pool. The fact is there is very strong and new biological evidence to suggest we evolved out of water so it's a natural environment for our species. This is why newborns hold their breaths instinctively when submerged and arguably why you get the hiccups from time to time.
