The section of Roundup you mention has a high pressure gas line beneth it. That is why it is soo rough. That is why I never advise people to use that route. That is why the county never grades the road there. Also there are more like 20 - 30 driveways there. Some belong to my friends.

I was there that day also. I stopped and talked with the guys working there. They said "they were putting down a substance that makes the sand turn into cement for the road base." He said "they would be back to pave it in two days or two weeks depending on their schedule."
I intended to post @ that then but got sidetracked by the Music at Deep Creek :~)
This made me have a flash back in the early 90's when Mike Castro was joking about them paving Bowen ranch road.
It makes property values soar. And insurance primeums go down, yea !
