Deep Creek is an isolated area, known as not patrolled and lawless to the community, therefore, I believe attracts lawlessness in some regard.

The spillway area has been permanently closed and I have heard numerous stories about what used to occur over there. These people who did these violent acts and vandalized vehicles are still somewhere out there.

I know the individuals in the village and over the years the community has improved in character. The majority of the current owners either own property or rent their homes. Most of them have jobs, some are on disability.

There are two residents who like the alcohol, their appearance and small reflect this. However, these two individuals are by reputation, harmless. They hitchike to the local community and therefore have visibility. I think every community has some of these individuals.

The person who has most of the junk cars is someone who has a good paying job. He has a huge collection of volvos. In my opinion, this guy is intelligent and nonconforming. So, you have some individuals who are taking advantage of the isolated area as a place to store cars.

However, the state law concerning code enforcement calls for improving neighborhoods and assisting people with this goal. It talks about when heavy code enforcement is going to be conducted in a low income area, they are to offer financial assistance to bring these homes into compliance.

The tone of the law is not punitive in nature, its intentions appear to want neighborhoods to be improved and to keep people in their homes.

However, in San Bernardino County this practice is outrageous. More information about these practices in San Bernardino County will be added to the link shortly. What is going on is shocking, unbelievable and violates state law and the United States Constitution.

The Bureau of Land Management has said more than once that they want to acquire private land in this area. The 1995 plan had provisions to purchase private land. The new plan also calls for acquiring private land. The Bureau of Land Management again stated this in court documents.

Now there is a process for this called condemnation. When land is deemed to have a higher public use, therefore, the Government can gain title through condemnation. The Government has to pay full market value for the property.

They were putting huge cable up Fawskin road. Appeared to be communication cable. Based on my knowledge of San Bernardino County, there are plans for this area. I am just not quite sure what they are as of yet.
