Also Dorthy, if you did not file a report with any agencies and since it seems by your story that there were no other witnesses to this described event then do you have some other way to confirm for us here on this forum that your story describes a true event. Your story could also be a way for a person opposed to these ways of accessing the springs to scare people away from open routes 4 and 3 and specifically the route 3 trail. I hope you will understand that realistically there is no way for us at this point to deduce which is the case. The areas along the open routes are remote and therefore the possibilities of vandalism while visitors are at the springs is certainly present. My point is that " any " story written on a forum like this needs to be treated for what it is, a story, until further verification is introduced. Where were you parked specifically, at the route 3 trail head by the forestry sign? I would like to inspect the site where your car was vandalized. Were you able to take any pictures of your car and its vandalism at the scene? Were there any other cars present? Did any other people see your car in a vandalized condition? Crimes of vandalism in areas like these are extremely difficult to prove and I realize you may have little additional info to offer. I am just looking for further information which might help verify your story for us.
