These are issues that need to be addressed somehow. This is an isolated area. It is an area in close proximity to an urban community of all kinds of people types. This area is not well patrolled. This leaves the visiting public with a risk when at the springs.
These crimes are scary because you are far from assistance when they occur. They are difficult to prove.
We have had some discussions in the past on how to address this issue without reaching any agreement. Maybe this issue should be discussed with the Forest Service. The Forest Service has jurisdiction about crimes that occur on their area.
Anyway, I had suggested that maybe private security in the future may be an answer. I encourage input about this issue.
