Chef, definitely go early in the morning so you can hike down to the springs when its cooler. I'd suggest getting to the Bowen Ranch around 8AM. Don't go to much earlier or Mike the gatekeeper may not be awake yet. Also, the main hot pool is in the shade still early, later the full sun makes it too hot for soaking. Keep in mind it is very hot this time of year, so take plenty of water. Hike back out late in the afternoon around dusk when its cooler. Enjoy and have fun!
