The Bradford ridge path does have many places to camp also. It is a 3 mile hike in and there are thousands of places to camp along the path. Two wheel sedans is not a problem there. It is pavement all the way to that trail head.
If you click on the DCV web site below I think you can copy the directions to that trailhead from the Lake Arrowhead side. You may encounter nude hikers along that path. No Forest Adventure Pass is necessary there too.
