Likely make it back again this weekend although the route south will be a parking lot like last year so thinking of driving during the night.
The best advice I can give is never, never drive south on I-5 from the L.A. Area to San Diego on a Friday afternoon or evening. The traffic is ALWAYS much heavier than normal. It's much better to come south on Thursday or even Saturday. By the way, Blacks has been terrific lately. Hot sand, cool water and great people.
