I wish they made a huge ass version of the sterilizer pen you get at REI that you can just stick in for 45 seconds and kill everything you can't see. Interesting though isn't it that the very first case in the state and fatality originated there. Still no reason to stop going obviously.
Rick I'll save a double post. Thanks for the heads up on Inreach. That unit was slightly more expensive but you probably get what you pay for. However if your friend still has his old unit tell him to upgrade to firmware 1.9 as it fixed the reliability issues. These devices are still somewhat new to the market and have these software bugs but can you imagine that guy from CO who had to cut off his arm after a rock fell on him had one of these. $150 to $350 is a small price especially if you are solo.
