I forgot to mention... At @ 5 PM the large gray bird mentioned by wizard and others here started flying from downstream. He was macnificent, he gained height quikly flew just over head following the creek. He has a wing spread of maybe 5 feet. When a little boy announced him to everyone, everyone stopped what they were doing and watched. Truely an amazing specticle.
One more reason we are all blessed by Deep Creek.
