That big bird you saw Neo Geo, its a Great Blue Heron. I saw one today at Deep Creek fly low just over me and they are incredible to see! About a month ago one landed right in front of me at the edge of a big pool that it clearly used as one of its hunting spots. They wade through shallow water or stand on boulders at creeks edge looking for small animals and fish to eat.Thats the closest I've ever been to one, about 25 feet away, just standing there keeping an eye on me for quite some time since I stayed very still as not to spook it. They are so differant looking and really are so beautiful with their flight of grace and ease! I think they have magic in their wings to fly like that :-)
