Mike is too lazy to work at Wendy's. Besides he drinks too much to hold a real job. I suspect he did not take his medicine or had a terrible hangover when you approached him.
Put yourself in his place. When hundreds of people go through his property trying to take advantage of him ?
I also suspect he is a millionaire by now. The only thing that keeps him going is greed and a general anti social narcissism against happy people.
The best medicine against this is to love your enemies. And keep on smiling ;~)

Bradford ridge is a beautiful hikeing trail. It is also a very good camping area. Remember 1 mile from the creek is the rule/law for camping @ deep creek.
