Yes, both point A and point B are more than 1 mile from the springs, there for legal. Point B is not as good a place to camp because it is near the place where persons from the Bowen ranch walk by. Making noises and invading your privacy.
I had to edit my previous message as I (as usual) had the point letters backwards.
The freedom trail head is my favorite camping spot on the earth. Except when I am with my grandchildren. Then anywhere they are happy is fine with me.
