Re: Snake bite victim at Deep Creek

I recently helped a guy who got bit by a baby rattler at Blacks Beach. He was up in the low hills at the north end of the beach and got struck on the ankle. I called 911 because neither his friend nor him had a cell phone. They walked back slowly with his leg immobilized and met the ambulance at Torrey Pines. Fortunately Scripps Green Hospital was close. He was treated with anti venom and released. He said he had insurance, so probably just paid a co-pay.
