Oh !! I forgot to mention the 4 foot long snake I saw. I saw it while climbing the cliff where you can cross the creek on the rocks while leaving. It is no secret I do not like snakes, but this was a rosy boa my favorite snake. It was a strange encounter, as I climbed up the cliff I looked up to come face to face with it. As soon as I saw it he turned and slid into a large hole. It frightened me at first because I thought I could be bitten. As I waited for the friend I was hiking with the snake reappeared. It is always awesome to see a 4 foot long rosy boa snake. The snake moved rapidly toward the oak tree nearby and went down another hole to hide.
