Reiterating Paul P's posts. Rangers will not condone camping near the springs. You should camp up at the ranch. When rangers do visit, they ticket and seek out anyone with camping equipment. I have seen them passing out tickets upon arriving myself early in the morning to all the sleeping campers. I have also seen them haul people out, hike them back up to civilization, for other more serious offenses.
