I totally agree with Wizard on where they sprayed. If you are heading down from Bowen, you may see some rocks with a 69 on it in brown just before the jeep trail at the parking lot below the MoFo part of the goat trail to the ranch. The color was originally red for the 69 but when it was sprayed over to try to cover it, the numbers turned to the color of the spray over paint and with the sun fading some of the pigment it turned to brown. This represents some gang I understand. This is a real problem. What is the purpose of going into the wilderness to escape when the spray paint is creating an artifical environmental. I notied some floresenct green paint last month and thought what idoit can't find their way from here. Sorry but if you are going to go into the wilderness, study the area and take a map! I hike regularly on the Appalachian Trail and it is not acceptable there, can't imagine it would be acceptable in California.
