That is unfortunate as the trail from that beach to the parking lot is so short, even if you go the alternate way, so there is no excuse to dump trash in the bushes.

I did like SLO on my second visit there, but the favorite is still that certain Nevada side beach at Lake Tahoe ... well, Black's a close second on a good day after Paul was so convincing to check it out and glad we did. You still find the odd idiots but the cases are much fewer and in between as locals and law enforcement patrols that beach regularly and it's recognized as clothing optional. When I was training up there, I would run the full 13 mile flume trial, then hit the beach and relax for a few hours. Heaven on earth, speaking for that trail and the beach.
