1&2 usin hotwater,
Thanks for reporting this. While I was there yesterday I met a camper who jumped out of his tent so fast when bullets ricocheted from the boulders near him he broke his toe. These idiots do not know the repercussions of their stupidity.
Sunday was another beautiful weather day to be at D.C.H.S. While hiking in I counted 10 tents around the springs. When I left my house the clock said it was 9 am but it did not feel that late ? ! I do not know what time it was when I got to the Freedom trail head, But , some one had left a fire burning at my favorite parking spot there. It may have been these same idiots. These logs were large and I poured all the water I had in my car on them to prevent a forest fire. The wind was blowing at about 10-20 mph. And there were bullet casings and beer cans along with candy wrappers spread about. I did not pick up the trash but I did collect the bullet casings and 2 small bottles of whiskey and some of the beer cans. I would be glad to provide this as evidence if necessary.
Stories like this make me wish I could bring justice upon these jerks. It also shows the uselessness of the Forest Service rules to help people.
Like the old wise man says : it is what it is ....
You did the right thing in your situation however , would it not be worth the 67$ fine to bring these guys into the court system ???
I think so, but that is just my opinion.
Good luck finding an better alternative to D.C.H.S.
