Yes, to be clear, while I didn't like the question about shocking others, my preference is just a preference. I do free hike sometimes but for me the Bradford Ridge trail is too long, and too much sun for that to be desirable for me. I've only just begun to use the trail, and it is also too cold in the last few months for me to see free hiking as plausible. Much of the first 30 minutes of the trail is in higher altitudes, and there was snow and mud and morning temps just above freezing. There is no shade on this trail, really, at all. Given that I'm just beginning to use it, and it has been winter, I have seen no free hikers on the trail at all, but then again I have not seen many people on the trail at all. It does seem that local residents from the Arrowhead area do use the upper parts of the trail, and not all are trying to go down to the hot springs. Thus, unlike the Bowen Ranch trail, I don't feel like I'm in a "nude" area until I'm closer to the springs, and thus my personal preference. When I want to free hike, I'll return to the Bowen side. I see other free hikers each time I do that trail, usually. Often there are nude people at both ends of the trail - the springs obviously, but also camping nude up at Bowen.
