About two weeks ago I was at DCHS, going across the creek at the rock crossing, the one just upstream from the Arizona Pool. I had a five gallon bucket that I carry with some extra stuff in it and I accidently tipped it over into the creek on the downstream side of those rocks you walk across. I retrieved pretty much everything but when I got home I remembered that I had a set of our Honda Civic keys attached to an alarm clicker in the bottom of the bucket. I did hike back the next day to look in the area where the bucket fell in but could not find the keys as there are rapids there and spaces under the boulders where the keys may have gone. Also the water was ice cold. I brought my swim goggles and looked under water in places which froze my face off after a few looks :-) If some winter flooding comes along of course they will go downstream and I except at this point that they are lost for good. But if someone by some miracle finds them let me know here :-) Funny that in the almost thirty years I have been hiking to DCHS I have never had those Honds Civic keys along with me since I always take my truck, as I had that day too. But in the morning I had to jumpstart my truck with the civic and the keys ended up in my pocket, then in my bucket. Also I can't remember ever tipping over my bucket in the creek like that, and it was in a place where those keys could rather easily disappear down under the rocks somwhere in the rapids. Just a quirky set of circumstances :-)
