I think it's difficult to predict the mix. Different seasons and days attract different folks. The first few times I was there the balance was just right. In fact, met a single girl that was there by herself el natural, had some good conversation. She was a student from the east coast. Also talked with another girl the same day in the military. She was alone but her friends were hiking in the area. Didn't approach either one ... in fact both moved in to start a conversation while I was enjoying my solitude in my "nothing" box*.
