It was a very wonderful day Friday at Deep Creek, and the fall colors down there were very beautiful to see. On my way out of the canyon, in the last light of day I heard a hooting of a two differant Owls, one nearby and one up the hill from me a ways. I walked right under a big Cottonwood and there at its top was a Great Horned Owl. I hooted at it and it hooted back :-) Those owls have ear like features sticking up from the top of their heads. I could see the Owl looking down at me for a while, then it decided to fly off down the canyon :-)
