There are two sides to every coin. I have volunteered often at a homeless shelter here and there are a lot of folks in dire need of assistance. But there are posers as well.
Where I used to work, we saw a guy at the nearby busy intersection always begging for money handouts. He got pretty aggressive with some drivers waiting at the light- like knocking on their car window etc. Finally I knew it was going to happen and me and a co-worker actually witnessed it- he got the crap beat out of him by a young driver who went ballistic on him after he touched his car window. Finally, this allegedly poor /homeless guy crawled across the street to a nearby parking lot and got into his brand new red Corvette convertible!!! We couldn't believe it- and we were totally ambivalent. Sympathetic for him getting beat up, yet very angry that he was such a fake!
