A bit of investigative work. Please note everything stated below is public information so accuracy is as good as what is readily available.
1. Bowen Ranch is assigned APN (Assessor's Parcel Number) 043310103. Below is the electronic record:

2. Confirm address 6221 is in fact Bowen Ranch via satellite image:

3. If we look up the San Gabriel address in Google maps and select "street view", it appears to be an old abandoned commercial property. Now we cross-reference this address with commercial real estate records. Property happens to be currently listed as for sale:

4. A further search reveals the business on that property used to be called E & L Castro Motors, founded in 1968. The "L" in the name stands for "Louis" and the "E" for "Edman" - more below in #5.

5. Now, because I have a LoopNet account, tenant history shows Louis as a partner working with Edman Turner, with estimated volume sales of $650,000. However, another site estimates firm revenue was over $1M but less than $2.5M, but this may have been because of real estate transactions, namely in 07/2005 and 07/2006, both entered as sales. However who knows, very difficult to conclude because it was not a public company with accessible accounting records. The address is listed as P.O. BOX 2707, Apple Valley, CA 92307-0052. LoopNet also has a note the property was owned, not rented. LoopNet shows the Castros as the last tenants of the property.
So it appears the family has been in the car sales business since 1968 and maybe still is or maybe not. If anything shows the dude is legit.
