My first visit to Deep Creek was amazing! I took the Bradford Ridge Trail to Deep Creek Hot Springs this weekend, and it was a great hike. I followed the driving and hiking route shown on studentreader's guide. We had a late start Friday, so we stopped about halfway there, camped, and hiked the rest of the way in on Saturday. We were in old running shoes, so the steepest parts of the trail were a bit slippery. The overall hike was about 75 minutes, and half of that was heavily loaded (tents, air mattress, blankets, etc). The extra 30 minutes of hiking (compared to the Bowen Ranch route, which I have never tried) knocks 10 miles and 20 minutes off of the drive from LA, so I doubt I'll ever try the northern route. We had a great time, and THANK YOU to the builders and keepers of the pools!
