Safety at Blacks is definitely an issue that most people don't think about. The cliffs above Blacks are unstable landforms. A few people have died there from landslides. The one I remember the most was from two summers ago when this guy who had gone to the foot of the cliff to take off his shoes, and a portion of the bluffs above him gave way and came down directly on him. He died from blunt trauma induced from falling boulders.


Bottom Line: If you go to Blacks , don't park yourself right up against the cliffs.
