The where and when is missing from your request. When are you coming out and where are you going to hike from ? You might consider hiking in from Lake Arrowhead.It seldom gets too hot and it is very nice hiking.
The map looks fairly close. However at the area that the trail goes from the 173 hwy is difficult to see the hwy. And the area where you actually go on the Bradford Ridge the person went the short cut on the right hand side which is the steep part of the trail and not on the Bradford ridge. But the map is close and it should help you see what I mean.
