Last year before entering BM I camped near Gerlach Monday night ( avoiding the Monday opening day traffic ) then got up in the morning around 9 AM and drove the 10 miles or so to BM. I drove right up to the gate with no slow downs at all, and there was only one car in front of me at the ticket entrance. Then on the following Saturday night of the burning of the Man, I got all my stuff ready and parked my car at 6 oclock and the outer ring, then rode my bike in to see the burn. Then right as the man was finally falling I rode quickly back to my vehicle, put my bike in and hit the road out. It took me 13 minutes to the pavement and it was smooth flowing at the posted speed limits all the way to HWY 80 down the two lane hwy. So what I'm saying is doing it that way, traffic problems were not an issue at all. Just one burners way to do it easy :-)
