Hi Jan,
The road to the Bradford Ridge Trail and Highway 173 is open and easy to get to. I hiked it this morning. I take Waterman Ave (18) to Highway 189 through Twin Peaks, then Grass Valley Road to Highway 173 to the Kinley Creek Bridge and start hiking.
