There is a fire burning right now around the Bowen Ranch. My long time DCHS friend Greg was heading up there to the springs about an hour ago when he saw the fire burning ahead of him. He was passed on the Bowen Ranch road by numerous fire and BLM vehicles heading towards the Bowen Ranch. He also saw a dozer on a trailer heading up there too. We can see the smoke from our home in Apple Valley and my friend ended up turning around and came over to our place to visit since clearly no one will be able to go around the Bowen Ranch for a while. So far I can't find any reports of the fire at the fire incident sites I normally go to. It looks like the fire is burning south from its origin and the winds here in Apple Valley are blowing from the north so that would have the fire heading in the general direction of Deep Creek.
