I do not know how defiant they are being and I do not understand the relevance of that to this. At first, I thought you meant to say that they are definitely coming from Bowen Ranch. I was concerned, since when people insist that something is definitely true eventhough there is very little evidence otherwise, then that can easily get into flame wars.

I know there are a couple of beaches close to the hot springs but I sure do not remember any with cliffs all around (except for the creek of course). If that beach is near the main hot spring (or the pools near the main spring) then the area has changed drastically since I was there.
