tjnthesky, yes I am fully aware the USDF is under the USDA. My point is that USDF is directly responsible for the immediate enforcement of the simple set of rules for the Deep Creek area. Peer pressure does work, but only selectively. I would never approach an illegal camper who was clearly strung out on drugs or drunk or in possession of a gun and tell them they can't camp by Deep Creek. That's just plain stupid. Leave it to the authorities. As I've said before, the authorities are very aware of Scotty, Camper Dave and John Bassist.
