Is Deep creek shutting down for public in May 15th?

Hi guys
I used to go to Deep creek almost every sundays since 2007 until I moved to Florida.I was planning to go back there next summer because it;s such a nice and special place for me but a friend of mine told me that Deep creek will be close for public starting May 15th 2012 because the Army bought the place for training purposes.Does anyone knows if this is a legit info or if they are going to close the place just temporarily? Would be so sad if that was true.Thanx
