Re: Bobcats in Deep creek area !!!

Upon reflection, I suppose this large cat thought I was a possible mate. Thus his MEEE-OOOU might have been a mating call. Since that was not evident he saw me as a possible meal. I probably appeared small from his angle, while I was laying on the ground. Either scenario was a bad outcome for me. So I spent the rest of the nights car camping in my Ford Explorer. In the bird feathers that were near my cooler were a pair of wings. The next morning the wings were gone ?
The second night there the weather man said there was a 30% chance of a lite rain or drizzle. This is what I saw on Thanks giving evening :
I arrived at the Freedom trail head @ 2 hours before sunset and fixed a Turkey stew from the Turkey I had cooked at home. With some fresh vegetables I had. Along with some Trader Joe's Seven grain organic bread for toast and some hot chocolate. While doing this I noticed a large black cloud stretching an arm of darkness straight toward Bowen Ranch from the Lake Arrowhead area. Just as I was comfortable with my hot chocolate this black cloud reach to the valley I was near. You could feel the temperature drop 20-30 degrees instantly. In this cloud was snowy/drizzle. It was a weired spectacle to behold. I got into my car thankful my sleeping bag is rated to be good to 30 degrees below zero. While in my car this cloud enveloped the rear of my car but not the front. This froze my front window in ice, while I could still see the stars from my front window. Very strange, I slept for 10 hours.
