Thanks for your input, Ryan. Yes there have been many posts on the forum/phorum that bring up personal matters. Like just about every discussion group and chatroom on the net, we have little flame wars from time to time.
Now the majority of recent posters seem to be concerned about the future of the hot springs and we (as I am one of those posters) feel that now is the time to get involved. The last thing I want to see is for the BLM and USFS to decide on policy without input from concerned citizens.
I too want to see Mike Castro get involved with this forum. I don't believe he has a connection at the ranch, so getting online may not happen in a timely manner. Mike may also feel that he would face attack every time he posts, and he may be right, but I, and others I'd bet, would leave the forum if it turned into a battleground.
Whatever happens to resolve the contentious issues raised by Gail and involving Mike, Tanya, Kevin, William and God knows whom else will most likely take place in or around a coutroom. The future of the hotsprings, however, will be affected quite soon by decisions made by officials less involved than the forum's present company. Please endure the small talk posts, for this cybercafe is our "6th pool", a place to meet and greet, and plan future trips. We're also a deeply concerned Deep Creek family.
Welcome, and please stay.
