During the past weeks I have had lots of time to think about the issues surrounding DCHS and what is discussed in this forum. One of the things that I have asked in the past is why we even discuss issues such as private legalities between two people. It kinda takes on a freak side show quality, it detracts from the main tent: the preservation of DCHS. I have also pondered why Mike Castro does not post to this forum directly.
So, my thoughts on why we keep hashing these subjects because of this: having a web site called deepcreekhotsprings.org and have it claim to have an group of people that represents DCHS users to the government causes a certain expectation by people. By people like me, and apparently others who read this forum. The expectation that one first gets is that DCHS Inc. is focused on conserving DCHS. But when one looks further into it one finds that there is a whole other agenda out there that has less to do with DCHS directly as it has to do with personal feelings, proposed lawsuites between two people, and personal gains. This brushes against the expectations one would have of group that supposedly represents DCHS users and the benefit of DCHS. In the heart of this dicotomy raises my voice and the voice of others who find the dicotomy unappealing and distorted.
Now I dont know for sure, but I imagine that Mike does not raise his voice here because he does not claim to represent DCHS users, or head an organization, so really there is no need for him to involve us. Thats my best guess. I will ask him on my next visit.
So, sure, lets talk some more about these subjects, but its really all just speculation and talk until we stick to issues that directly affect the hot springs themselves. Now I am not saying dont talk, please relpy, lets talk, its fun: but realise we are basicly gossiping about the private affairs of two, or a few people. You know, like high school girls and their cliques.
As a side note, its my understanding that everyone who uses AOL would have proxy.aol.com as their server. It may seem that they are the same user, when in fact they are different.
