At least thats the way it looks to me. I think the people being affected by these vandalism incidents should file police reports along with any evidence they have gathered like apparent perpetrator tracks leading back to the Bowen Ranch or anything else of value for indentifying the criminal, or crimanals involved. The more people aware of this problem and watching out, the better chance of catching the perpetrator/s. This vandalism has gone on since people first began hiking the Freedom Trail after the Willow Fire ( 1999 ) and a couple of other main public access routes got closed that people not using the Bowen Ranch used to use for parking in areas south of the Bowen Ranch. Mike Digioia, who used to frequent DCHS and was a long time regular and off and on again friend of Mike Castro told me during the time when the Freedom Trail first began to be hiked alot that Mike Castro was livid about people using it ( lost income due to the drive arounds I'm sure ) which does not suprise me one bit. I have talked with many people at the springs over many years about thier first hand accounts of various problems related to aggressive and at times down right dangerous acts by Mike Castro. These people were independent parties so its not a case of just a few people with an axe to grind. Its really sad that a beautiful destination like DCHS has to have been saddled all these years by the menacing character that runs the Bowen Ranch.
