I see in Rick's weather info it says this " THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR...
6 MILES EAST OF HESPERIA AND 7 MILES SOUTH OF APPLE VALLEY BY 130 "
I just put up two photos showing the thunderstorms and one of them is of the very storm discussed in Rick's storm report. That storm grew much bigger and morphed over time into a much larger complex of storms that covered much of the Victor Valley by early afternoon. The storms were putting down lots of lightning. I see Katrina has reported about a fire at Deep Creek which was probably started by lightning. Maybe someone visiting DCHS today may know more about his fire and will report on that. The downpour seen in one of the photos was located best I could tell just slightly west of the Bowen Ranch and near the lower end of Deep Creek.
