What was the condition of the trail and BR parking lot where the bags were torn? I can not go until 2 weeks from now. I hope it's not too much of the mess.

Well, I picked up everything I could reach from the beach to the ranch parking lot, including two ripped up bags and the stuffings. The trail was much cleaner when I finished, but there were a couple questionable groups that were a bit messy down at the creek still when I left... I just hope they packed out what they had laying about their 'camps'.
