Adrian,

At the deepcreekhotsprings.org there are links to pages with maps and good detailed directions to the springs.

If you are really looking for a good hike you should probably come in from the Mohave River spillway or down from Lake Arrowhead as these will give you the longest hikes. The parking at the spillway has now been restricted so the hike is about two extra miles (total about eight and a half).

However the easiest access and simplest continues to be through the Bowen Ranch, and in all my visits I have never presenced any violence at all. Of course it is open land so you will not have a cop at every corner, however in my opinion there is no greater risk hiking to DCHS that hiking anywhere else in a National Forest or State Park. If you do go through Bowen Ranch they will provide you with a sketch of the trail as well.

Hope you enjoy you first visit. Please post your thoughts after your visit.
