4-4-11 trip report

arrived at the Bowen about 11am and rode my mountain bike down to the springs. as I was putting my bike against a rock and getting nude I was asked by 3 girls sitting on the beach if I had a bottle opener. I did, so I had to hang out with them for awhile and drink a few coronas before I made the crossing. they told me that it was too cold for them to cross and they had decided to just lay out on the beach and tan. the water was cold and the current was a lot stronger than it looked. the rest of the day was awesome, a couple of nice groups and some good conversations. the weather was perfect and I had a nice hike up the stream and spent some time on a nice big rock upstream with the sun hitting me perfectly. most were textile except me, but it was still a great day at the springs. the ride out sucks, especially after a few coronas, the price you pay for some fun.
