Coyote, speaking of " morans " as you put it, I was at DCHS yesterday with my daughters, and there were a couple of dudes there that were a prime examples of what you commented about in your post above. We were sitting in the shade of the Sycamores and these two guys were set up right in front of us. You could see they had been drinking alot with a glass vodka bottle sitting in the sand by them, then one of the guys trys to bum a cigarette off of me, I don't smoke I told him, The Sam doing his awesome trash clean up work ambles by and these dudes give him their big glass vodka bottle and other trash, like Sam is the Trash Service or something. Then they wandered off behind somne trees to apparently imbibe of another substance to get them even higher than their drunken state already was. Then the one guy who was the most drunk, the one who could not utter a sentence ( even in the presence of my daughters ) without putting a couple of cuss words in it comes out of the Cottonwoods onto the big sandy beach where everbody sits and starts blowing chunks for a bit right on the beach! Jeeeeez! A little later these two winners come back to their stuff, gather it up and wandered back off somewhere upstream leaving an aluminum beer keg of sorts and other trash just laying where they had been. Well, at least my and my girls and I were glad they moved on. Before we left my daugters and I gathered up the the trash laying there ( I didn't know if they were going to come back and pick it up ) and went up to where sam was to get a couple of the bags he had collected to haul out. Sam was up in the grassy area having a fun chat with other visitors. I like Sam's sense of humor, He really cracks me up :-) Other than that it was a beautiful day at DCHS with air temps mid day only around 86 with refreshing breezes, and the stream temp near the Arizona Pool was aprox 80 degrees.
