Let's be abundantly clear : NO CAMPING WITHIN ONE MILE of the Deep Creek drainage basin area.
The area described by Speakeasy is known as Hook Creek. Which IS part of the Deep Creek drainage basin area because is drains into Deep Creek.
Also, The bridge there is known as the T-6 crossing. The National Forest Service has a special rule for the T-6 crossing. NO NUDITY ! So if nature calls while there you had best look for the rest rooms that are provided nearby.
Of course, some might argue it ain't illegal unless you get caught. Ignorance is NOT an excuse and there are a large amount of laws to ignore. Do not forget to bring a shovel as that is a law there and remember your Forest adventure pass. Just to mention a few.
When in the forest ignorance MIGHT be bliss but maybe not .?
My rule is to always show respect for the authorities because their job ain't easy. Maybe they will do the same for you.
Sign, sign, everywhere a sign !
Blocking up the scenery blowing my mind !
